Lying in the most beautiful setting of Rajasthan, amidst the picturesque views, scenic surroundings away from the hustling and very busy life of the metropolitan cities, Samode is a beautiful village in Rajasthan, famous for its Forts, Havelis and Palaces. This village is 45km from Jaipur (Capital of Rajasthan) on the way to Shekhawati. Samode can be your perfect weekend gateway in desert, which will give you perfect aura of the Rajasthani village. Here you can experience the Camel Safari and musical evenings accompanied with traditional Rajasthani instruments. Communicating with the ever-smiling faces of the locals and having a glance at the huge number of artistic skills in the Havelis here are surely a delightful experience for every visitor.


Location

The distance between Samode and Delhi is approximately 247km from Delhi. It takes around 5 hours to complete this travel time.

Places to see in Samode

SAMODE PALACE 
This beautiful heritage structure is built in Mughal architecture and filled with Rajasthani paintings and sculptures which gives a contrast look to the palace. This palace is almost 475 years old. Every evening is blessed with the enjoyment inculcated by the traditional Rajasthani Music and Dance shows conducted in Palace, which will be performed by locals. Panoramic view of Samode village from here is mesmerizing. 

Sultan Mahal and Durbar hall are most favorite attractions of tourists visiting this Palace. Sultan Mahal has the rooms filled with decorated floral designs and motifs and Durbar hall is also known as “The Hall of Mirror”, where just one lighted candle can brighten the room with the help of reflection. Accommodation of Samode palace is all about comfort and luxury, which will give you an amazing experience. Apart from this, Palace is famous for destination weddings. 

SAMODE BAGH
It was the private garden of Royal families belonging to Samode. There are a variety of water channels and Fountains beautifully bounding the amenities of this Bagh. This 250 years old Garden was constructed by Rawal Sheo Singh ji of Samode in classical “CHAR BHAGH” style.

 It is one of the oldest functioning Mughal garden of Rajasthan, resembling the most attractive gardens of Kashmir. You will find variety of exotic flowers inside the vicinity of this exotic garden. All the accommodation of Samode palace are tented and there are 44 dune colored tents. Dining of Samode Bagh serves Rajasthani and International cuisine. In winter, you will be witnessing lush vegetation and exotic birds. Garden is quiet in nature which is why it is the best place to relaxation and recreation.


How to Reach Samode

By Air : Jaipur's Sanganer Airport is just south of the city.


By Rail : Jaipur Station well connected to Delhi by Ajmer Shatabdi and Delhi-Jaipur Express, to Mumbai by the Bombay Central-Jaipur and Aravalli expresses, and to Kolkata by the Howrah-Jaipur Express.


By Bus : NH8 links Jaipur to Delhi via Shahpura and Dharuhera, and to Mumbai via Ajmer, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Bharuch, Pardi, Talasari and Manor.

Climate And Weather

The weather conditions in Samode are quite extreme especially during the summertime. Here, the summer months are very hot and experience an average temperature of 40-45 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, the winters here are moderate and also the best time to visit this place. The day time during winter season is pleasant and the nights are chilly with an average temperature dropping to 5-10 degrees Celsius.


Getting Around Samode

Here, you might not get the proper local transportation facilities for commuting within this city and indulging in its sightseeing. However, you can visit this place in your own vehicle or the same can be arranged by the management of the accommodation you are staying in.


Where to stay in Samode

There are very limited options in Samode in case of the accommodation for visitors. However, just in case you are direly interested to stay here for a day or two then you shall have to book the rooms well in advance due to their limited availability. The best options to try here can be the Samode Haveli (for luxurious 5 star rated stays) or the Samode Bagh where you can stay in luxurious tents for a unique experience.
