Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Welcome to the Cultural heritage tour of India under which you will travel culturally rich cities of North India. On your arrival at the airport you will be welcomed and assisted to your hotel by our representative along with the other group members. On boarding the coach you will be handover the travel kit enclosed with the itinerary and other travel documents. On reaching at the hotel, the keys of your hotel room will be handed over to you.

Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing

Today, while you have your breakfast at the hotel restaurant, our guide will be waiting for you and the other group members in the hotel lobby. After leisurely breakfast the group will gather near the lobby area and with a formal introduction with guide we move to the vehicle to start our day adventure. The sightseeing of old Delhi will begin by driving along the 2 kms long massive wall of the Red Fort which was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the 15th century. Red Fort was created by the Mughal emperor to strengthen the defence of their new capital at Delhi after shifted it from Agra. Our group tour moves further and halts at Jama Masjid which is the largest mosque in India where Muslims gathers in large numbers to offer prayers. Next stop is Chandni Chowk the heart of Old Delhi. On our cultural heritage trip of India you will experience mixture of modernity with conventional India. At Chandni Chowk we will hop on to a decorated Rickshaw (Tricycle) which will take you through the busy street of oldest market and let you ride through the narrow alleys, spice markets and busy streets of the market. After this fun ride, we will drive to the New Delhi, where you will see the beautiful Rashtrapati Bhawan (President's Palace), India Gate and Diplomatic enclave which is a hub of residence of Indian politicians, embassies and high commissions of other countries in Delhi. In the afternoon we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we drive to the two major monuments made in two different times and style in history. The Humayun's Tomb (built by the widow of Mughal Emperor Humayun in the 15th century after his death) is the mausoleum of Mughal Emperor and the another is the Qutub Minar, the tallest minaret of India made by first Emperor of Delhi Qutab-ud-Din from Gulam Dynasty. Later visit Bangla Sahib – Sikh temple. Drive back to the hotel for night stay.

Day 03: Delhi – Jaipur

Today, after getting up early in the morning have your breakfast in the hotel restaurant and check out from hotel to continue our India group tour further to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. After a few hours of drive, we will stop at a midway spot to get freshen-up and some light refreshments (on your own). Continue drive to Jaipur exploring the countryside situated along the National highway. Upon reaching Jaipur we will directly check in the hotel for some relaxation. Later drive to a local restaurant of the Jaipur, where we enjoy our lavish dinner served in Rajasthani style. Since Jaipur is a famous place for astronomy and astrology, one can also interact with a local palmist or astrologer, if interest. Night stay will be at your hotel.

Day 04: Excursion to Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort and local bazaars

After early breakfast at the hotel, we will head to Amber Fort, located on the outskirts of Jaipur surrounded by Aravalli Hills. We will here ride on the Elephant's back to reach at the entry gate of the Fort at some height. This experience will fill you with the fun as you will feel like Maharaja riding on a wonderfully decorated Elephant. From the gate, the guide will take you for an inside tour. The main attractions are Deewan-e-Aam (Hall of Public Audience) and Deewan-e-Khaas (Hall of private audience), Sukh Niwas Mandir and Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace). Also, visit the Jaigarh Fort which has the largest canon on wheels displayed. Overlooking the Amer Fort from the top of the adjoining hill the massive fort of Jaigarh was built to protect the Amer Palace for enemies. After some rest, we will drive to the city to visit other monuments of cultural importance. Beginning with Hawa Mahal, the palace of winds that is a great wall with about 500 windows made for ladies of Royal Court to observe the activities occurring at the entire cities. Next is the City Palace Museum to see the artifacts, weapons, clothes and other belongings of the Maharajas and Maharanis. You also pay a small visit to the Jantar Mantar Observatory that is a sun clock was made to have a keen eye on the astronomical activities. The group tour sightseeing for the day is finished. Now the group will be dropped at the local colorful bazaars of Jaipur to explore the handicraft, textiles, precious and semi-precious stones and jewellery and Indian traditional dresses to purchase the souvenirs and gifts for your loved ones. Drive back to your hotel for night stay.

Day 05: Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra

Starting the day with early breakfast and gathering at the lobby, we move further for onward journey in our India group tour package. From here, we will drive to Agra along India's one of the finest freeways while enjoying picturesque Indian countryside. About 30 kms away from Agra, we stop to visit one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture commonly renowned as Fatehpur Sikri. The fort was built by great Mughal emperor Akbar, however, due to acute lack of water the people couldn't live here and Mughals had to shift there capital to Agra. There is much to see and visit inside the fort, especially Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khas, Buland Darwaza and Dargarh of Sufi Saint Khwaja Mainnuddin Chishti. Reaching Agra and on arrival we will visit to the most awaited monument of the trip - the Taj Mahal counted among the seven 'Wonders-of-the-World' and India's one of the finest monument listed as 'UNESCO World Heritage site'. The journey to Taj Mahal will begin with riding on the decorated tonga /camel ride (horse/camel cart ride) which will take you to the entry gate of the monument. Meanwhile, you can take your snaps on the beautifully decorated carts/tonga. On reaching at the entry gate, our guide will meet us and with the entire group, we reach inside the Taj Mahal. Get your cameras ready as you would not like to miss the moment entering towards Taj Mahal. Here on the tour guide will accompany you and explain you every part of the Taj Mahal and story behind it. After spending time at the Taj Mahal, you head towards next famous monument Agra Fort located at the bank of river Yamuna. Here, the emperor Shah Jahan, who built Taj Mahal, was kept under imprison by his son Aurangzeb. It is said that he spent the last period of his life observing the Taj Mahal from the only window. Evening transfer to the hotel for relaxed overnight. Night stay will be at your hotel in Agra.

Day 06: Agra – Jhansi - Orchha (Train Journey)

After early breakfast at the hotel you will get an assisted transfer to the Agra railway station to board our superfast air conditioned train which will take you to Jhansi. Enjoy the comfortable ride in Shatabadi Express. On arrival at the Jhansi railway station, our representative will meet you and assist you to your car. Enjoy the three-hour drive from Jhansi to Orchha while enjoying the attractive countryside. On arrival at Orchha, check into the hotel for quick bath and change, and get together at the lobby to explore the Orchha, an unexplored village away from hustle and bustle of the city, famous for its Hindu temples, Forts, Chhatris and Mahal. Here, we will visit Jehangir Mahal built in honor of Emperor Jehangir in the 16th century. The architecture of the Mahal is extraordinary. Other Mahal just nearby is Raj Mahal and Rai Praveen Mahal. Next, we head towards the temples of Orchha which are inspired from Hinduism, out of which the most famous are Raja Ram Mandir and Chaturbhuj Temple which was originally a fort, but later treated as temple due to its designs and image of Lord Rama. The evening is to spend at leisure at the hotel. Overnight stay at Orchha.

Day 07: Orchha – Khajuraho

After a relaxed morning and breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Khajuraho known for its carved temples during Chandela Dynasty (950-1050AD). On arrival at Khajuraho, we check into the hotel. After bath and change at the hotel in afternoon we move to explore the temples of Khajuraho, which have their own unfold stories. The 22 temples of Khajuraho are now divided into the eastern, western, southern group of temples and are listed among 'Unesco World Heritage Sites'. Starting with the Eastern group of temples, we visit the Jain temples, dedicated to Parsvanath temple and Adinath, From here visit the western group of temples, where the most attracted temples reflecting the eternal lovers, gods and goddesses. Visit the Vishwanatha Temple, Chausath Yogini Temple, Chitragupta Temple. In the evening, we will attend the much attractive 'Sound & Light Show', showcasing the history of the Chandela Dynasty. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Khajuraho.

Day 08: Khajuraho – Varanasi (Flight)

After enjoying a leisure breakfast at the hotel, pay a visit to the Southern group temples at Khajuraho and then the group will be transferred to the airport to board flight to the holy city of Varanasi by the river Ganges. Also known as Banaras, the city has its own significance in Hindu mythology and Buddhist pilgrims. On arrival at Varanasi airport, get assisted by our representative at the airport, and escort you to your hotel. Spending the afternoon time at leisure for rest and relaxation or explore the city or local restaurants to taste Indian street food. In the evening, we will drive to the Holy river Ganges, where we will witness the grand Ganga Aarti (prayer) ceremony. You will see the long littled lamps in the hands of young priests, murmuring the holy chants. A short boat ride on the Ganges is essential to get the inside feel of the spiritual atmosphere near the ghat. The view will be a treat to your camera, so capture as many as you can. Later come back to our hotel for relaxing overnight.

Day 09: Varanasi

Today, we wake up early in the morning to witness the sunrise from across the Ganges along with the company of a guide and other group members by the banks of the river. There, we will hire a boat for riding through Dasashwamedh Ghat to Manikarnika Ghat. Here, during the boat ride, you can view other ghats where the local people and other tourist people carrying their activities see the burning ghats, where the people perform the cremation ceremony of the dead bodies for an absolute salvation Enjoy the heritage walks, along with the guide, through the narrow streets near the Ghats. The aroma of sandalwood in the oil lamps, whiff the atmosphere. Varanasi is a city where one can take insight depth of the life where the body of rich or poor, young or old is treated in the same way and manner. Here the guide will explain you the rituals and will answer your questions. We will visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple (Golden Temple) and Durga Temple. Heading back to the hotel for having your breakfast. After breakfast, we will head to cover the other famous monuments of the city Benares, starting with a visit to Hindu Benares University (Est 1916), which is an internationally reputed University. From here, we continue our drive to Sarnath a famous Buddhist circuit. The first sermon of Buddha was delivered here, and later when Ashoka visited here, he raised the stupa here. Later driving back to Varanasi we spent time and explore evening at the local streets and markets of Varanasi.

Day 10: Varanasi-Delhi-Home (Flight)

After breakfast, you have free time to explore the city on your own. One can enjoy a rickshaw (Tricycle) ride in the busy streets of the city. Later our representative will transfer you to the airport from where you can board your flight to home ex Delhi. Your group tour travel to India ends here as you depart to home with happy memories of our tastefully designed small group tour of India
