Mumbai to Delhi Tour

Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Mumbai, the financial capital of India. Enjoy visits to such popular attractions as the Gateway of India and the Elephanta Island. Fly to Udaipur to find out why this city is known as the 'Most Romantic City of Rajasthan'. Enjoy a wonderful boat ride along the Lake Pichola while soaking up the charm of the Lake Palace. After a sightseeing tour of Udaipur, move on to Jodhpur where you'll view the Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. Reach Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, for another enriching sightseeing experience. Enjoy an early morning jeep safari into the Ranthambore National Park before reaching Agra, famous for the Taj Mahal. Visit Fatehpur Sikri en route. Finally, travel to Delhi for a guided city tour and your flight back home. 


Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Mumbai

Today upon your arrival at Mumbai international airport you will be received by our representative. After welcome, you will be escorted to your pre booked hotel for check-in for a night stay. Transfer will be provided by a private car or seat in a Coach basis depending on the total number of travelers arriving at the designated time and place.

Day 02: Mumbai sightseeing

After breakfast, we head to the sea port near Gateway of India. There, we take a boat ride from Gateway of India to visit the 5th century rock-cut caves of Elephanta Island. After one hour boat journey, we reach the Elephanta Island where we can either walk to the cave or enjoy a very short toy train ride. Our guide will explain you about the caves and will offer you some time to take photographs. Later take back journey to Gateway of India from Elephanta Island. Upon arrival at Mumbai port, visit Gateway of India which was built in 1911 by British Empire in India to welcome King George V and Queen Mary. It took about 13 years to complete this monument. Now, we head to Mumbai for city tour and visit Hanging Gardens, Mahalaxmi Temple, The Prince of Wales Museum, Dhobi Ghat, Juhu Beach and Marine Drive. Night stay will be at the hotel.

Day 03: Mumbai - Udaipur (Flight)

After a leisurely breakfast get transfer to the airport to board your flight to Udaipur which is famous among travelers as 'The Most Romantic City of Rajasthan.' Meet with our local representatives in Udaipur for assisted transfer to your beautiful hotel near the lake. In evening, we enjoy boat ride on the 14th century historic Lake Pichola made by locals and later extended by Rana Udai Singh II. The picturesque boat ride offers a chance to enjoy the scenic beauty and also offers many historic palaces and monuments dotted around the lake. One of the major attractions during the boat ride is 'Lake Palace' which was built in 1743-1746 as summer palace of the royal family of Udaipur and now operating as a luxurious hotel. The other attraction is Jag Mandir Island where we will get off for a short break before taking boat trip back to the main land of Udaipur city. Night stay will be at the hotel in Udaipur.

Day 04: Udaipur

Enjoy your breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel and then take a sightseeing trip of the romantic city of Udaipur. The guide will take you to most major tourist attractions today including the glorious City Palace Museum having a good number of many courtyards, galleries, temples and pavilions, overlooking a wonderful view of Lake Pichola. Then visit of Jagdish Temple (dedicated to Lord Vishnu) and Sahelion-ki-Bari (Garden of virgins). Also visit Fateh Sagar Lake. Relaxed stay in the hotel to enjoy the scenic and historic beauty of the place.

Day 05: Udaipur – Jodhpur

After the breakfast, we will drive to Jodhpur which is also famous among travellers as "Blue City" due to blue painted houses all around. On the way to Jodhpur, we stop at Ranakpur to visit the Jain Temples complex. Since the guides are not permitted inside the temple complex, the guide will explain from the outside and then you can visit the complex. Alternatively, if you wish you can take a guide from the ticket window at your cost. After visiting the temple complex, continue drive to Jodhpur where on arrival you will check in at the hotel. In the evening, take a walk near the Clock Tower and enjoy a dinner in the old city. While in clock tower area, you may also visit to local spice market, where you can buy Indian spices like cardamom, red chillies, cinnamon, etc. Night stay will be in your hotel at Jodhpur

Day 06: Jodhpur – Jaipur

In the morning after breakfast you will visit grand Meharangarh Fort which is situated up on a steep hill and is among one of the largest forts in India. Spread over in 5 kilometres on a perpendicular hill the Mehrangarh Fort offers a majestic view of Jodhpur city. Also visit Jaswant Thada the 19th century royal cenotaph built with white marble. Drive past through the very beautiful Umaid Bhawan Palace, the palace is now a very luxurious heritage hotel of India but the royal family of Jodhpur still lives in the palace. After finishing the tour, we take drive to the pink city of Jaipur which serves Rajasthan as capital. Upon arrival in the evening, we check into your hotel for a relaxed night stay.

Day 07: Jaipur sightseeing

The day starts with an excursion tour to 'Amer Fort'. Amer was the ancient capital of Jaipur. It is situated atop the Aravalli hills overlooking the city. Ascend the fort on an elephant's back like a king or chose a jeep ride instead. Later visit 'Jaigarh Fort' where you can see the world's largest canon on wheels displayed for the audience. The forts are built on the top of the hill and are excellent example of amalgamation of Rajputana and Mughal architecture. Later in the afternoon visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), Jantar Mantar Observatory and City Palace museum which covers a large area divided into a series of courtyards, gardens and buildings. A part of this palace is a now a museum containing three wings of armory, textiles and artifacts. Also visit Birla Mandir originally known as Lakshmi Narayan Temple In the evening, spend relaxed time in a city restaurant enjoying folk dances, local music, puppet shows, etc followed by delicious cuisine. Overnight stay is at your hotel in Jaipur.

Day 08: Jaipur – Abhaneri – Ranthambore

After breakfast, we leave to Ranthambore National Park today for wildlife adventure activities where we will be staying for two nights in a jungle resort. On the way to Ranthambore we stop at the village of Abhaneri which is famous for early medieval time step well 'Chand Baori'. The village of Abhaneri is in ruins now but it attracts a large number of travellers, especially, the students group from around the world to see the huge step well which is a unique idea conceived by the natives to work as a water reservoir. On arrival at Sawai Madhopur, we reach the famous Ranthambore National Park where we will check into our jungle resort near the park. Spend leisurely time with the nature and stay in your resort. Dinner and lunch is offered by the hotel in your package and will be served in the restaurant.

Day 09: Ranthambore National Park

The day schedule is set for an early morning and afternoon safari into the jungle by jungle van with our naturalist. During the jungle trip, you will see a variety of species in one of the biggest cities of northern India. The most common wild animals you may encounter here during the day light are the Royal Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Striped Hyenas, Sambar Dear, Nilgiri, Wild Boar, Desert Cats, Indian Flying Foxes, Mongoose, etc. The normal timing of safari here is 06.30 AM in the morning and 2.30 PM in the afternoon. Each trip ends for about 3.30 hours. All meals and stay will be in the resort at Ranthambore Park today.

Day 10: Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri – Agra

After breakfast, we head to Agra today. Today the drive is little long and may be little uncomfortable. But the travelers will enjoy watching the countryside and the life of the villagers living along the highway. On the way to Agra, we stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the ghost city that is about 30 kms before Agra on Jaipur-Agra highway. The city of Fatehpur Sikri was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar to commemorate the birth of his son Jahangir. After staying here for about 15 years Mughals moved to Agra and abandoned the city of Fatehpur due to acute lack of water in the region. The main attractions of Fatehpur Sikri are Hall of Audience, Dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Mainuddin Chishti and Buland Darwaja. We then move towards Agra where the representative of the Company waits for us to provide us smooth check in at the hotel. Later, we will visit gorgeous Taj Mahal which is known as the finest monument built for love and is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Watching Taj Mahal during sunset or sunrise can be an experience to cherish forever. You will enjoy a Tonga (horse cart) ride from the parking area to the monument. This is the much awaited time now when you are entering the most beautiful monument you may have ever seen. After spending about two hours in the Taj Mahal complex, listening to the interesting love story of Emperor Shah Jahan and his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal we can capture the most beautiful and memorable monuments in camera. Next, you will have a comfortable night stay at your hotel in Agra. Remarks: Optional visit to famous 'Mohabbat-e-Taj' show that can be arranged in the evening on demand.

Day 11: Agra – Delhi

After breakfast, we will visit the massive fort of Agra, dotted on the bank of river Yamuna the fort was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1566. The major attractions of the fort are the hall of public audience where the king used to hear public petitions and 'hall of private audience' where the king sat on his gem-studded peacock throne and met foreign ambassadors and rulers of friendly kingdoms. Later we head to New Delhi. Here we have rooms booked for you in the hotel. Next, we have a leisurely stay in your comfortable room.

Day 12: Delhi sightseeing tour

Breakfast will be served in the hotel restaurant and then you will meet with our tour guide waiting for you in the lobby of the hotel along with the other group members. After a short briefing on the schedule, the tour guide takes you for a combined tour of Old and New Delhi. Start your day by covering the famous sites of New Delhi including Qutab Minar (the tallest minaret in India and the finest example of Persian architecture in India), Lotus Temple (Bahai Temple) and Humayun's Tomb (Beautiful example of the architecture dating back to Mughal era). Take a drive through India Gate, President's Palace and Diplomatic area. Stop for a while near India Gate to click some beautiful pictures in your camera. Have your tasty lunch in a city restaurant and then continue drive towards the Old Delhi, the former centre of Mughal power which offers ancient monuments, narrow streets and bustling bazaars. Visit Jama Masjid (completed in 1648 AD by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan who also constructed magnificent Taj Mahal Jama Masjid that is one of the largest mosques in India) later board the 'rickshaw ride' for a unique experience from at Chandni Chowk. Also referred as 'Silver Street' by the travelers Chandni Chowk is believed to be the market place of Mughal period. Experiencing the sights and sounds of this very busy avenue heading west from the fort. Drive to Raj Ghat (The cremation ground of Mahatma Gandhi). Return back to the hotel for overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 13: Leave from Delhi

Depending on your flight timings our representative will provide you comfortable transfers from your hotel to airport. For those guests who are leaving with afternoon flights today we will provide breakfast in the hotel and stay until noon time.
