Rajasthan with Kashmir

Explore the tourist attractions of Old and New Delhi. Catch a flight to Udaipur, one of the most romantic cities in India. Enjoy a wonderful sightseeing tour of Udaipur along with visits to the City Palace and the Jagdish Temple. Next is Jaipur which is known as the 'Pink City' for its collection of pink-hued buildings. Move on to the 'City of the Taj' while visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the 'Ghost Town', en route. Drive to Delhi for a flight to Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir. Make a visit to the picturesque gardens including the Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh and the Tulip Garden. Enjoy a short excursion trip to Pahalgam, the entrance way to Amarnath. Spend a day in Gulmarg, aptly known as the 'Meadow of Wild Flowers'. Drive to Sonmarg and Kargil before travelling to Ladakh for an unforgettable sightseeing experience.


Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive - Delhi

First arrival of your tour is in the capital city of India – DELHI. This state is a fusion of sprawling modern metropolis with a stunning backdrop of ancient architecture. Check in to your Hotel. Rest of the day is free to relax after a long flight. Overnight stay at Delhi. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi sightseeing

Firstly we shall take you through the ancient part The Old Delhi where you shall visit the Red Fort, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in Red Sandstone. The sprawling Fort Complex houses a number of palatial buildings. The buildings have wonderful lattice works and wonderful sculptures. The largest mosque of our country – Jama Masjid will be next site to see and later take an exciting rickshaw ride through the narrow & crowded lanes Chandni Chowk market in Old Delhi. Moving to New Delhi visit the crematory place of Mahatma Gandhi – Raj Ghat and drive past through the marvelous British architectural structures on Raj Path – The President's House and India Gate. Next visit Humayun's Tomb a beautiful monument built in the year 1562 in the memory of Mughal emperor Humayun. Also visit the Qutub Minar, once the tallest stone tower in the whole of Asia. This tower built in the 12th century AD has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Later in the day you can also visit the Lotus Temple, the house of worship of the Bahai Faith. The temple is known for its marvelous architecture.

Day 03: Delhi – Udaipur

Following a leisurely morning get transferred to the Airprot to board your flight to Udaipur – one of the romantic cities in India, often called Venice in the East. On reaching at Udaipur airport get transferred to your hotel near lake. Enjoy the views of lake from your hotel, located on the banks of lake Pichola.

Day 04: Udaipur

Udaipur sightseeing takes you to the imposing City Palace situated on the banks of Lake Pichola is the most visited site of Udaipur. An assortment of palaces, courtyards, balconies, pavilions and towers makes this one of the most distinguished Palace of Rajasthan. Next we move towards Jagdish Temple is a fantastic carved Indo – Aryan temple. Saheliyon-ki-Bari is a small and splendid garden that was laid out for 48 women attendants who came as princess dowry. It consists of several fountains and marble elephants. A small and private museum that exhibits tribal jewellery, paintings and musical instruments is Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum. Other sites include Bagore-ki-Haveli, Fateh Sagar, Vintage & Classic Car Collection and the Sunset Point is worth a visit places. Later in the evening enjoy the boat ride at Lake Pichola and wander around the city on own. Overnight stay is in Udaipur.

Day 05: Udaipur – Jaipur

After having your breakfast, set out for Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Jaipur is a modern city with a rich heritage. Jaipur is popularly known as the pink city, owing to its pink hued buildings. Jaipur has a number of magnificent Forts and palaces. Jaipur is also known for its trade in precious and semi precious stones. Overnight stay is at Jaipur.

Day 06: Jaipur

After having your breakfast, drive to the Amer Fort. Enter the fort gates on the backs of elephants just like the royalties. The well preserved fort has a good collection of paintings, artworks, arms and other belongings of the royal Family. Later visit the Jaigarh Fort, which has the largest cannon ever built, the Jaivan. Also visit the Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory. Jantar Mantar is an architectural astronomical observatory built by Raja Sawai Jai Singh. It has a number of instruments to perform astronomical calculations. Visit the Hawa Mahal or The Palace of Winds. This palace has more than 900 jharokhas or miniature windows. This palace was built by the king for the royal ladies to watch the proceedings of the marketplace on the street below, hidden from the public view. Stay the night in Jaipur.

Day 07: Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra

Morning drive towards Agra the most visited city of India consisting some remarkable monuments, Fatehpur Sikri shall be visited en route which is also known as The Ghost Town. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was built by the Mughal emperor Akbar in 1570 and served as the short lived capital till 1585. When Emperor Akbar visited Sikri to consult the Sufi saint Salim Chisti who predicted the birth of the heir for Mughal Empire and indeed it came true. So to honor Salim the Fathepur Sikri was declared to be the capital. However due to scarcity of water it could not be the capital forever. This will be an enjoyable sightseeing trip. Later continue drive to Agra. On arrival check in at the hotel and overnight stay is in Agra.

Day 08: Agra – Delhi

After the morning breakfast we shall take you for Agra sightseeing. Taj Mahal is the world renowned monument which is also one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It symbolizes eternal love of Mughal royals beautifully located on the banks of River Yamuna. It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Completion of this marvel took 22 years with a workforce of 20000 artisans from all over the country. Further we visit Agra Fort, the most important fort in India where several Mughal rulers lived and governed the country. Built in red-sandstone and white marble, the fort boasts of wonderful decorations. We will also visit Sikandara to see Akbar's tomb. Later drive to Delhi and transfer to the airport to board the flight for onward destination.

Day 09: Delhi – Srinagar

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Srinagar. Srinagar is a one of the India's top domestic tourist attraction due to its pleasant climate and people travel here to escape the heat of plains. Famous all over for its lakes, gardens, houseboats and Kashmiri handicrafts it is a delightful place in India and aptly called as "Paradise on earth".

Day 10: Srinagar

Srinagar has a photographic scenic beauty with many gardens and parks here that add to the natural beauty of this paradise. We shall take you some of the spectacular gardens of Srinagar such as "Shalimar Bagh" which is the most famous one and was built by Jehangir for her wife Nur Jahan, "Nishant Bagh" is an impressive garden facing the lake and Asia's biggest "Tulip Garden" is in Srinagar only and attracts many tourists from all over. Visit the principal mosque of Srinagar "Jama Masjid" this massive structure can hold 33000 devotees at a time. The 11th century "Shankaracharya Mandir" is a sacred & oldest shrine of Srinagar and is small Lord Shiva temple built on top of the hill.

Day 11: Srinagar – Pahalgam

An excursion tour to Pahalgam, we shall drive today morning to this town which is certainly one of the most beautiful places on earth. Pahalgam is the entry point to the sacred shrine Amarnath which attracts loads of yatri's (worshippers) during the months of June – August. The natural beauty of Pahalgam showcases a great view of Himalayan range with lush green forests and snow capped peaks and Liddar valley where the sparkling Liddar river flows offers various picnic spots around it. It is also a famous trekking and hiking spot that takes you through pine forests and streams and meadows of flowers. Visit Shival temple in Pahalgam.

Day 12: Pahalgam – Gulmarg

Gulmarg is one of the famous destinations from Srinagar also known as "Meadow of Wild Flowers" has become a premier tourist attraction of the state in recent past. It is an exceptionally beautiful hill station that gets covered with snow in the month of December transforming it into India's Ski Centre and it is also the highest green golf course in the world at an altitude of 2,650m. Gulmarg has Asia's highest and longest cable car "Gondola Cable Car" which is a two stage ropeway ferry. It is undoubtedly the best place to enjoy and explore nature at its best. Overnight stay is in Gulmarg.

Day 14: Gulmarg – Sonmarg

Today we drive to the last destination of Kashmir "Sonamarg" located at an altitude of 3000m above sea level. The drive takes you through some of the magnificent views of meadows and Snow Mountains making it a pleasurable journey. Sonamarg means "The meadow of gold" as it has a backdrop of snowy mountains against a sapphire sky. The Thajiwas Glacier can be visited by a pony ride as it is a major local attraction during the summer months. Sonamarg is the base of a major trek that passes along several mountain lakes. Overnight stay is in Sonamarg.

Day 15: Sonmarg – Kargil

Today we leave in the morning for Kargil, the journey offers you the panoramic villages, snow covered mountains through the road are rough and wet. We reach the Zojila pass, at the height of 3527 Mtrs, Gateway of Ladakh. Continue our drive towards Drass, the second coldest inhibited place in the world. We will stop here for tea and passport check. After the security check, we will continue our drive to Kargil, (2710 Mtrs) which has got its importance after opening of Ladakh for tourists in 1974. Rest of the day is at leisure to rest and relax. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 16: Kargil – Lamayuru – Khaltse – Uletokpo

Today after breakfast, we will leave for Uletokpo, a small village, where we will visit the Lamayuru Monastery One of the largest and oldest Gompas in Ladakh, around 150 monks reside here permanently. From here continue our drive to Uletokpo, which will take about 4-5 hours, Enroute stopping at magnetic hill. Overnight at the camps

Day 17: Uletokpo – Alchi – spituk – Leh

After breakfast, we will check out from our camps and leave for en route destinations such as Alchi monastery the only monastery in the Ladakh on flat ground. Afternoon drive to Spituk monastery which is just 5 kms from Leh town, en route also visit Basgo Gompa after travelling 35 Kms from Leh. On reaching Leh, check into your hotel. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 18: Leh - Pangong Lake

After early morning breakfast, we drive to Pangong Lake while driving through Changla pass at the height of 5486 Mtrs. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass and landscape in the back drop of the Lake. This famous bluish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 144 Kms long with half of it running the other side of the "INDO CHINA BORDER". One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Overnight in Camp

Day 19: Pangong Lake – Hemis – Leh

Today we will drive back to Leh enroute visiting Hemis Gompa, one of the most important in Ladakh, the largest and also the wealthiest. It was filled with the golden statues, stupas set with precious stones and thangkhas brought from many places, including Tibet. About 45 Kms drive from Hemis also visit Shanti Stupa a Buddhist white-domed stupa on a hilltop in Chanspa. Later drive to Leh and check into your hotel. Evening is at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 20: Leh – Delhi - Departure

Today after breakfast at the Leh hotel, get transferred to the hotel, to board your flight to Delhi to connect your onward flight.
