Lakes and Palaces

Nothing can beat the beauty that is carried by the Venice of the East, Udaipur. For getting to know more about it in the finest manner and that too in a short span of time, one can opt for the weekend getaway from Ahmedabad. It takes approximately 5.5 hours to travel by road from Ahmedabad to Udaipur and the journey is very beautiful providing you a good number of scenic as well as mesmerizing views. Udaipur is majorly known for its finely formed lakes and palaces and, majority of the tourists visit this place for the same reason. A calm boat ride on Lake Pichola letting you witness the heart-throbbing sunset during the afternoon would be definitely leaving everyone speechless. A Rajasthan trip can definitely be taken from Ahmedabad, since its cities are easily accessible and any one can reach there without any kind of hassle. During the lakes and palaces tour, you will be passing through and exploring Udaipur, Pushkar, Ajmer and then finally the pink city Jaipur. 


Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Ahmedabad to Udaipur

Today our driver will meet you at your address/hotel and we will continue our drive to Udaipur. Udaipur is famous for its lakes, forts and luxury hotels. Udaipur was built by Maharana Udai Singh, when he lost Chittore; the capital of Mewar to the Mughals. On arrival at Udaipur, check into your hotel for a relaxed stay. Overnight stay at Udaipur

Day 02: Udaipur

Today we will proceed for the full day sightseeing of Udaipur, visiting the beautiful City Palace and Museum, The construction of the palace was started in the year 1559, and later Rana Udai Singh increased the number of buildings in the palace complex. A part of the palace has been converted to a museum which has marble and granite walls decorated with colored glasses and mirrors. Near the museum is the Sahelion-ki-Badi, a garden built by Rana Sanga for the maids. Later visit the Jagdish temple and evening enjoy the boat ride at Lake Pichola followed by the visit to Jag Mandir – an island palace. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Udaipur – Pushkar

After breakfast, we start our drive to Pushkar, which is known for the temple of Lord Brahma. It is said that Lord Brahma wanted to perform a fire sacrifice and was contemplating on a good site when a lotus flower fell from his hand and landed on the earth. A water body sprang from it, which became the Pushkar Lake and Lord Brahma performed the fire sacrifice here. Pushkar hosts the annual Animal Fair, which also coincides with the date Lord Brahma is said to have emerged from the Pushkar Lake. On reaching at Pushkar, check into your hotel and proceed for visit Brahma temple and Pushkar Lake. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 04: Pushkar - Ajmer - Jaipur

After breakfast, we will pay a visit to famous Ajmer Dargah dedicated to Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty. From here continue our drive to Jaipur, and on arrival, check into your hotel. Evening, we visit the Chokhi Dhani, where we will enjoy the dinner followed by the cultural dance program and puppet show.

Day 05: Jaipur – Ahmedabad (overnight train)

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel, and proceed for the sightseeing of Jaipur, the cultural capital of Rajasthan, famous for magnificent fort with beautiful palaces, halls, pavilions, and gardens. Explore the Amber Fort, Jantar Mantar, City Palace Museum and Hawa Mahal. In the evening get departure transfer to railway station to board your train towards Ahmadabad.
