The beautiful state of Rajasthan is showcased at its best especially during the fairs and festivals and the Pushkar Fair undoubtedly serves as the brightener of the rugged life of the villagers living nearby the Thar Desert.
Held during the Kartik Shukla Ekadashi with its arms extended till the Kartik Purnima that is during the months of October-November, the Pushkar Fair has always been the most perfect opportunity for the people to gather and witness colours of Rajasthan at their utmost level. The central stage of this festival is always occupied by the camels with an intention of being traded and thus, this festival is also considered to be the world’s largest camel fair.
