Kumbhalgarh Fortress & Trek

The Kumbhalgarh fortress also known as the fort having the second largest wall in the whole world (following the Great Wall of China) is a beauty in its own way. This Mewar fortress is spotted on Rajasthan’s Aravalli Range and it is also recognized as one of the UNESCO- listed world heritage sites. A trip of Rajasthan is always fulfilled by the gigantic establishment of the Kumbhalgarh fortress that stretches at a highly vast distance of about 80 kilometres. It is located not so far from Udaipur (about 100 kms) and thus, acts as a quite apt weekend getaway from Udaipur. While being at the Kumbhalgarh Fortress, the visitors are going to get a whole mesmerizing view of the city looking very beautiful and scenic from up above.  Apart from the exploration of this structure, the travellers will also get an opportunity of paying a visit to the Ranakpur Jain Temples intrinsically carved with antique architecture. 


Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh

Today, we will drive towards Kumbhalgarh, pristine and peaceful place of Rajasthan. The incredible stone fort Kumbhalgarh is the main attraction here; built by Maharana Kumba in the 15th century. It is the second most important fort of India after Chittorgarh fort. The fort wall stretches around 36 kms and encloses approximately 360 temples, palaces and gardens. On reaching at Kumbhalgarh, check into the hotel, and later explore the Fort and Kumbhalgarh wild life sanctuary. overnight stay at hotel

Day 02: Kumbhalgarh – Ranakpur – Udaipur

After breakfast, drive towards Udaipur via Ranakpur feat of Jain devotion. This temple city is known for its white marble Jain temple which is a series of 29 halls that are supported by 1444 pillars with intricate carving and the unique feature is that no two pillars are alike. The main temple is "Chaumukha Temple" dedicated to lord Adinath. Later continue our drive to Udaipur. On arrival at Udaipur, check into your hotel. Evening at leisure you can explore the local market and overnight at hotel in Udaipur.

Day 03: Udaipur

After breakfast, start sightseeing tour of "city of lakes and palaces" Udaipur. The most romantic city of India tagged by Colonel James Tod in 1829. Udaipur formerly known as Mewar, is a beautiful city founded in the year 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh. The city consists some beautiful lakes Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake, Udai Sagar and Swaroop Sagar and it is therefore referred to as "Venice of East" occasionally. Udaipur reflects as a fairy tale town with its stunning palaces and lakes. Visit the City Palace, Saheliyon ki Badi, Jag Mandir following the enjoyable boat ride at Lake Pichola. Day 04: Udaipur departure
